The subject school teacher seminar for the first semester of the 2023 academic year was held on September 15, 2023 at the International Conference Hall.

Zhuang Mingxiong was specially invited to the special lecture of this subject teacher seminar. The theme of the lecture was "Challenges and Responses to AI and Deep Forgery Crime". He spent most of his life in the Criminal Investigation Bureau working in important positions such as telecommunications and technology research and development. In order to improve his profession, he went to the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology to complete a doctorate in information management. It can be said to be a model of personal control over life.

Section Chief Zhuang started with the definition of artificial intelligence AI and explained that AI can analyze Internet sentiment through technologies such as automatic language recognition (ASR), natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision. It can also analyze Internet sentiment through various technologies. The case highlights that AI’s criminal concerns have become a major challenge for today’s police administration.

First, ChatGPT developed by the American company OpenAI. "ChatGPT" has many functions and is easy to use. It can answer questions; it can generate articles and review articles; it can generate program code and check for program code errors. However, there are also many people who are interested in using ChatGPT to commit crimes. Therefore, Edward Tian, a student at Princeton University in the United States, developed GPT Zero, which can help everyone determine whether the content of an article is generated by AI.

Next, Zhuang introduced deepfake, which is the application of artificial intelligence to other fields such as human image synthesis technology and audio mixing. Due to the learning ability of AI, the products produced are increasingly difficult to identify compared with real-life images (audio), which is beneficial to various fields; however, due to its simple operation, it can be used by ordinary people, and more and more people are using it. There are people who are interested in using this technology to commit crimes.

Finally, Section Chief Zhuang also emphasized that "AI must also have regulatory restrictions, rather than unlimited expansion." At present, the Executive Yuan has passed the "Guidelines for the Use of Generative AI" on August 31. Everyone should pay special attention when using it for official purposes to avoid leakage of information security and personal information.

The 90-minute special lecture, simple and clear teaching materials combined with real-life cases will keep everyone in mind, so that every teacher present can fully understand the importance of preventing AI crimes.
