The "100th Academic Year Second Semester Teaching Symposium" was held on 2012/2/17 in the Lecture Hall of CPU's Research Building. Mr. Liu, Yi-Fu, a senior teaching designer from Fu Jen University's Faculty Development and Instructional Resources Center, was invited to deliver a speech of "Establishment of college department's core ability and Design and Uses of index quantification." After the speech, every department was much clearer about the core ability and ability index. Questions like "evaluating first or teaching?" "student-centered or teacher-centered?" are pointed out during the speech. All teachers got a lot of pointers.

The dean of Department of Academic Affairs, Dr. Su, chih-chiang delivered a yearly "education administration report". He explained thoroughly about the important ongoing movements, including "examination for professional core subjects", "establishment of students' learning process system", and "carrying out student's grading equality test". In addition, he also mentioned some have finished last semester, including "arrangement of students' practical training courses", "winter vacation study tour", and "self- improvement and conduct working process for departments". He also pointed out the importance of intellectual property rights.

162 full-time and part-time teachers attended in this event. The department meetings were arranged after the symposium.
