The President Encourages the Class of 2024 International Graduates to Apply Their Knowledge and Assist in Combating International Crime

At 11:00 a.m. on June 6, 2024, the university president met with and congratulated 11 international graduates of this year’s class in the VIP room on the second floor of Lixing Building. Among them were seven master's students from Thailand, two from Indonesia, one from Paraguay, and one PhD graduate from Saint Lucia. The president commended the international students for not only overcoming language and cultural barriers but also excelling academically, successfully completing their doctoral and master's programs, and demonstrating a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm for learning. The president also encouraged the graduates to apply what they have learned at the university to their future work, making greater contributions to public safety and policing in their respective countries.

International student representative Lin Wei-Chiang (from Thailand) expressed his gratitude in his speech for the excellent learning environment provided by the university, as well as the dedicated guidance from teachers and the support from classmates. He said that during his time at the university, he not only acquired extensive professional knowledge but also forged valuable friendships. He firmly pledged to apply what he had learned in his future work and to promote cooperation with Taiwan in combating transnational crime.

Following the speeches, the president presented each student with a specially made commemorative coin from the university and took photos with the graduates. Everyone exchanged farewells and well-wishes. The university looks forward to seeing these international graduates achieve even greater success in their future careers and continue to promote international cooperation and exchange.
