The monthly memorial meeting of Dr. Sun Yat-sen was held on 8 March, 2013 from 10:20 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. in CPU's Memorial hall. CPU's shooting team presented their medals of 2012 National Chung Cheng Shooting Competition. In this meeting, CPU also honorably invited Secretary-General TAI-CHU CHOU, from The Coordination Council of North American Affairs (CCNAA) to deliver a speech of "What does a diplomat do for us?"
Secretary-General Chou mentioned various topics such as, "The value of diplomacy", "Taiwan's diplomatic challenges (The rise of Mainland China and international isolation situation of Taiwan)", "What qualities should a diplomat require? (Languages, personal courtesy, social skills, common sense)", "What does a diplomat busy doing? (Cooperation plan, trading diplomacy, negotiation, social activity, press and overseas compatriot Affairs and consular affair)" and "The Soft power of Taiwan (living environment, public service and culture)." He used Diaoyu Islands issue as an example to describe our country's diplomatic work.
Secretary-General Chou gave an extraordinary speech to share insightful information of diplomatic works and present condition to faculty and students at CPU.
